Synopsis

Following a painful divorce, Rachel Clifford (Julia Ormond) a 30-year-old dentist, gets a job at a high security prison where, consumed by sexual passion, she recklessly begins an affair with one of her patients, inmate Phil Chaney (Tim Roth), who is in prison for murdering his wife. As the strands of the plot twist together, so do the levels of tension in their dangerous roller coaster affair.
